Boddhidarma
This piece is a scroll by the famous late calligrapher Kampo Harada-Sensei.  It says Nana-Kai, Ha-Korobi  which means "seven times down, up the eighth time".  This speaks to the resiliency of the human spirit.  It is a picture of Boddhidharma, who brought the teachings of the Buddha from the East to the West.  (Kampo-Sensei was a close friend of mine.  When he drew this scroll for me, he said that he gave Boddhidharma a hairier chest than normal to coincide with my own!)  - Nyogetsu
